Cleaning your felt-tip pen
Unscrew the barrel from the tip section.Rinse the tip by filling and emptying it with water (repeat this until the water is clear). Caution: Ink residue will flow out.
If the pen uses a cartridge/converter, place the tip section into a beaker or other container of clean water and let it soak overnight
The water level should completely cover the tip.
Be sure to use room temperature water. Distilled water will work best (tap water sometimes contains particles which may clog the feed). Never use alcohol, as it will damage the feed or other parts of the pen.
Let the tip soak for 10 to 15 minutes, then blot dry with a paper towel. Soak the tip overnight if necessary. Wash your pen every few weeks or whenever changing ink colors.

When he was writing Samuel Beckett could switch from English to French and the other way round. with Yookers he could have switched colors as easily.
Some critics consider the doubled nature of Beckett’s oeuvre its distinguishing quality. Certainly, Beckett’s eccentric writing practice makes his bilingual corpus unique in the history of literature.
He wasn’t just playing around with language when he switched to French; the change marks neither an indulgence in the sport of interlingual word play, nor the disciplined resolve of a man fashioning himself a sort of writing exercise. Rather, the move from English to French was motivated by a fundamental necessity. It is as if Beckett required French for his very survival as a writer. Given the caliber of his early (English) work, it does not seem unreasonable, after all, to suggest that his status as literary genius is closely linked to his adoption of the French language.
mayleemouse wrote a post on instagram ( @mayleemouse ) after using Yookers since a few months :
“A few art classes homework sketches and notes featuring the great @yookers_studio pen which I have been using everyday for the past few months ! I received a few questions about this pen so here is a little summary of my experience ! Spoiler alert, I’m really digging it ! This little dude is a refillable felt tip pen and instantly caught my attention when I first heard about it. I love using fineliners for sketching and writing but I must say I keep buying and tossing so many of them, I was totally in when I found out about a more durable and *almost* waste free alternative. The overall quality is brilliant and I love that they’re offering a variety of tip widths. After a few tries I personally went for the broadest one (1.4) and for now I’m using only blue ink as I’ve been gathering so many regular fountain pen cartridges since my childhood. Once I’ll been done with my cartridges stock, I’m planning on using a fountain pen filling system (basically a refillable fountain pen cartridge) in order to get a larger color choice and to get rid of more plastic waste. So far my experience has been really positive and I can only recommend these, I’m already planning on getting one or two more of them to be able to play with more colors and nib widths at the same time…”
We are so proud to finally be able to offer our innovative pen to the whole wide world ! Welcome all to the Yookers hot spot and thanks for all our backers during our Kickstarter campaign, all this would not exist without you !!! Cheers to you all 🙂
